BOOKS2Inspire LLC is an independent publishing company that seeks to increase awareness of various developmental disabilities and mental health disorders through children’s books. We believe that the written word can spark change and influence the lives of many by giving them hope and encouragement. We also believe that reading books can be a form of “therapy” and help people cope with emotional problems, mental illness, or changes in their lives.

We are looking to publish inspirational books but are not accepting any current offers from new writers. We are open to coaching opportunities for new authors who need assistance with the self-publishing process and will address each unique inquiry based on availability and time needed to complete each project. Books2Inspire believes in creating excellent products of superior value but knows this requires time and effort and wants to ensure that they can offer this to each of their customers.

About the ‘Star’ of Trey the Chef

Carl Moore III, otherwise known as ‘Trey’, is a bright, playful, and curious 7-year old who loves electronics, wooden/plastic letters, playdoh, and watching cooking videos.

Trey is also an avid book reader and has always been. He has loved books since he was a toddler and would spend hours just looking at the pictures. I really feel Trey was trying to understand the world around him and make sense of it by reading books. Trey could recognize words in books from age 4 because of his early interest in reading. Trey’s talking came much later; age 6 but I strongly believe he would not have even talked by then, if it weren’t for his passion for reading.

Trey’s interest in cooking only began a few years ago and still surprises me to this day. I don’t know where it came from (I’m not a big cook) but maybe this was something he inherited from my mother, who used to cook for him. I believe another reason for Trey’s love for cooking came because he likes to eat. He mostly enjoys eating meat but is also a big junk food fan and loves popcorn, chips (especially hot chips), oatmeal cookies, and Rice Krispie treats. Due to Trey’s interest in cooking, I felt compelled to find opportunities for him to learn how to cook with other children. I have him participate in cooking classes with Flour Power in Raleigh, NC because they offer FREE cooking classes to special needs children once a month. Trey is really enjoying learning how to cook and I am enjoying watching him pursue his passion.
